Reflecting on Your Planning Internship

Course Schedule, Assignments and Agenda

As described in the outline for the course there will be one meeting. Originally it was scheduled for 09:00 - 17:30 on Saturday October 2nd but I have learned this conflicts with the longboat racing. We are therefore looking for a new time that would work for all those that are interested in participating in the short course. Please send me an email if you are interested.

BELOW ARE THE DETAILS ABOUT PREPARATION AND THE AGENDA FOR THE COURSE. REVISED DATES FOR SUBMITTING MATERIALS WILL BE ESTABLISHED WHEN THE DATE FOR THE WORKSHOP HAS BEEN ESTALISHED

Participants in the course are required to send me the following by September 19th

A copy of your signed Internship agreement and the three evaluation forms (mid and final from Host Organization Supervisor and your own final assessment). Only I will read this.
A copy of the journal in which you recorded your activities during the Internship and your reflections on your experiences. Only I will read this.
Your 1000 word summary of your experiences and reflections that will be used (a) by me to draft the agenda for the one day session and (b) by other participants to read in preparation for it. Your summary will be posted to a Google web site so that all participants can read it but only those in the course will have access to the site.

By September 26th I will post a draft agenda for the session on October 2nd that will be based on my reading of your submissions and any suggestions that you send to me before then. You will be asked to provide me with any comments on the agenda by September 30th.

During the workshop people will be asked to take notes on the discussion of component topics and these will be posted to the Google web site for everyone to read.

The grade for the course will be based 75% on your 1000 word summary and 25% on the assessment by the class participants of workshop's productivity. The process and criteria for assessing the productivity of the workshop will be defined as part of the agenda setting.
